Many teachers are being encouraged to incorporate action civics into their units. While many conservatives and moderates deem the method a negative one, thinking about it separate from the radical leftist causes it usually entails can help teachers see the benefit of action civics. This professional development defines action civics (which many falsely believe has nothing to do with civics education), and gives teachers an opportunity to develop a plan for tackling action civics in their own classrooms either through a simple lesson plan or a larger project. After completing this workshop, teachers will recognize how they can use action civics to meet current teaching standards, enhance their lessons, and counter the radical left’s agenda.
