The founder of the 1619 Project, Nikole Hannah-Jones, has now doubled down on defending rioters claiming that, “Destroying property, which can be replaced, is not violence.”

Earlier today, Ms. Jones claimed that looting from the “big box main store[s]” is “symbolic.” Unfortunately for our nation, the writings and ideas that Ms. Jones promotes is becoming more and more prominent in schools across the country. Ms. Jones and others who hate the United States as a symbol and as a nation fail to admit that these riots have not only caused destruction of property, but have also led to the deaths of multiple people. Additionally, the destruction of these small businesses, many of which are minority owned, have destroyed the owners’ and employees’ lives. The reality is that smashing glass, and setting fire to buildings and cars can quickly become life-threatening to hundreds of people.

If we want to start changing our society, we need more people to combat “educational” organizations like the 1619 Project. Please encourage your friends and family to support us at The Locke Society. Our organization was created not just to bring awareness to the issues facing our country in the educational field, but also to provide the solution. By encouraging individuals that love freedom and opportunity to go into the educational field, and developing free educational resources to be used in schools across the nation, we will finally be able to start combating the socialist/liberal monopoly across education.
